FAQ

Q: What type of breakers do I need?

A: GPD Series accepts Square D QO or QOB series plug-in breakers (1-inch width). Compatible brands may work but must match physical dimensions and trip characteristics.

Q: Is a main breaker included?

A: No - main lugs are provided; you must install your own main disconnect breaker (sold separately).

Q: Does it come with a cover plate?

A: Yes - each unit includes a matching front door with lockable latch for security and tamper resistance.

Q: Do these panels come with circuit breakers installed?

A: No. The GPD Series Load Centers are sold as enclosures only (with main lugs and bus bars). You must purchase the specific Square D-type plug-in circuit breakers separately based on your circuit requirements. This allows you to customize the amperage for each circuit exactly to your needs.

Q: What is the difference between "Flush" and "Surface" mount models?

A: Flush Mount (Model ending in 'F'): Designed to be recessed inside a wall cavity (typically between studs). The front door sits flush with the finished wall surface. Best for new construction or major renovations.
Surface Mount (Model ending in 'S'): Designed to be mounted on top of a finished wall. The entire box protrudes from the wall. Ideal for retrofits, garages, basements, or concrete/brick walls where cutting into the wall is difficult.
