Q1: Is the orange handle cover replaceable if damaged?

A:Yes, the polymer handle cover is a replaceable component. Contact the supplier with the product number GAK-100 to order a spare cover. Do not operate the switch with a missing or cracked cover.

Q2: Can I mount this switch directly on a drywall surface without a plywood backboard?

A: It is recommended to mount on a plywood or steel backboard for structural integrity, especially with 1 AWG conductors that exert mechanical stress. If mounting on drywall alone, use toggle bolts or anchors rated for at least 50 kg pull-out force.

Q3: Does the switch include a neutral bar for grounding the enclosure?

A: Yes, a dedicated ground lug is pre-installed inside the enclosure. Connect the equipment grounding conductor here to bond the steel chassis. A separate neutral bar is not included; terminate neutrals in the adjacent panelboard.

Q4: How much side clearance is required for the handle to swing fully?

A: Allow at least 150 mm of unobstructed space to the right of the handle (when facing the switch) for full 90-degree swing. This ensures the handle can snap positively to the ON and OFF positions without hitting adjacent conduit or walls.

Q5: Can this non-fusible switch be used upstream of a fused disconnect?

A: Yes. This switch provides the visible isolation point, while the downstream fused disconnect handles overcurrent protection. Coordinate the ampere ratings so the fuse device does not exceed 100 A.
