Key Features – Built for Electricians, Trusted by Installers
CE Certified to EU/UK Standards
Subjected to full type-testing under BS EN 61439-3, BS EN 60947-3, and BS EN 60898-1. The design is developed to fall in line with BS 7671 wiring mandates.
01
Heavy-Duty Steel Enclosure
Constructed from high-grade cold-rolled steel and skinned with an even RAL9003 polyester powder layer. The IK05 impact classification shields the box from job-site bumps and scrapes.
02
Flexible Cable Entry
Factory-punched apertures span the top, base, left, right, and back panels:
• Top & Base: 20 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm
• Sidewalls: 32 mm plus 40 mm elongated slots
• Rear panel: Wide trunking and conduit cut-outs
Cabling can be routed from any face, eliminating the need for on-site hole cutting.
03
Spacious Interior Design
The DIN rail is propped above the chassis floor, carving out a deep channel underneath for uncrimped conductor bends. RCBOs drop in without squeezing neighbouring terminations.
04
Secure Magnetic Lid Closure
A potent magnet grips the hinged steel flap shut against shakes and unintended nudges, yet yields to a gentle tug when the installer needs to reach the breakers.
05
Modular Wiring Configurations
The 10-way chassis accommodates these protection strategies:
• Main Switch arrangement - individual MCBs governed by a central isolator
• Dual RCD arrangement - twin 30 mA zones for budget-friendly compliance
• High Integrity arrangement - RCDs blended with selective RCBOs
• RCD-only arrangement - sub-panel service minus a main switch
Pick the layout that matches the contract specification.
06
Pre-Installed Ground & Neutral Bars
Pre-mounted solid-copper terminal strips with abundant clamp screws deliver dependable protective earthing and neutral branching straight after unboxing.
07
Clear Circuit Labeling Area
A peel-off label card affixed to the inner door skin lets each circuit be charted for rapid tracing during later fault investigation.
08
Key Applications
Bigger family homes with several ring finals plus dedicated lines for ovens, showers, and garden lighting
Compact offices and shop units needing split lighting, socket, and equipment feeds
Rental-property electrical overhauls in HMOs or multi-tenant flats
Sub-board duty for conservatories, annexes, or detached garages fed from the main dwelling
Light trade workshops running mixed machinery and space-heating loads

Fast FAQ – Answers for Pros & DIYers
Q1: Can the UTMCU10 be mounted horizontally instead of vertically?
A: No. The enclosure is designed for vertical wall mounting only. Horizontal orientation would compromise the magnetic door closure and could allow condensation to pool on live parts.
Q2: What hand tools are required for installation?
A: Standard electrician's tools suffice: a spirit level, drill with masonry bits, screwdriver set, and knockout punch set. No proprietary tools are needed.
Q3: Does the enclosure include a condensation drain hole?
A: No. As an IP20 indoor unit, it relies on being installed in a dry, ventilated space. If mounted in a potentially damp area, place it inside a heated cupboard or relocate to a drier zone.
Q4: Will the magnetic door stay open on its own while I terminate cables?
A: The magnet is calibrated to hold the door shut, not prop it open. During wiring, use a temporary door stay or rest the lid against your shoulder to keep both hands free.
